Peter Vardy Newsroom
Last year saw almost 2.5 million new cars hitting the UK’s roads, the highest number for a decade!
The growth is thanks to a combination of factors, including great financing deals, which accounted for around 75% of new car buyers opting for a finance package as a way to buy their new car. And it looks like 2015 will be another great year for motorists with leading manufacturers such as Jaguar, Vauxhall and Land Rover launching new cars. We have come up with our pick of the cars we are most excited about this year… Vauxhall Astra Expected by summer, the all-new Vauxhall Astra will be available in three-door, five-door and estate models. Appealing to the family market, it is longer than previous models, helping to increase boot space and passenger legroom – perfect for families. Inside, the dashboard has been de-cluttered to create a comfortable and stylish space. Jaguar XE Available with an efficient 2.0L turbo-charged diesel or a supercharged 3.0L V6 engine, the new XE offers performance, luxury and stunning good looks. Inside, expect all the trim options and high quality that Jaguar is synonymous with as well as touchscreen infotainment system to keep things up to date. BMW 2 Series Convertible With an expected arrival date of February, the new 2 Series Convertible should be hitting the roads soon. Available in a range of petrol and diesel engines, the new 2 Series is set to be economical in terms of fuel and CO2 emissions. With its retractable fabric roof the 2 Series will be great fun to drive and with generous legroom and boot space, it makes a practical choice too. Land Rover Discovery Sport Sophisticated, modern and practical - the new Discovery Sport has it all. With its flexible seat configurations, changing easily from a five to a seven seater, it will no doubt be popular with families. And as you would expect from Land Rover, it is more than capable of tackling the toughest of terrains. Vauxhall Viva Vauxhall’s second new car for 2015 and this time it is a city car. With details still under wraps, the car is expected to be available at a very favourable price and with an Ecotec engine; it is likely to be economical to run. With stylish good looks, similar to those of the latest model Corsa, the Viva also benefits from an attractive interior.
